A template and process for creating community websites for rural Oregon communities
Thanks to the generosity of the Ford Family Foundation Institute for Community Building, the Community Website Partnership has grown steadily to serve nine communities (including Rural Klamath Connects), supporting rural networks to collaboratively create inclusive, comprehensive, accessible, and sustainable community-owned websites for engaging residents, businesses, and/or nonprofits to promote community awareness, connectedness, and community building.
Refuge Church Malin is a campus of Refuge City Church in Klamath Falls OR. Refuge Church is a Pentecostal Assembly of God. We currently meet Sunday mornings at 11am in the Broadway Theater on Broadway St. Our ministry offices are located in our old church building located at 2404 5th St, Malin, OR 97632. Klamath County AUXCOMM is an Amateur Radio Emergency Service organization providing communications assistance to local emergency agencies and communities. We also provide communications for community events such as the annual Rim Run and the Snowflake Parade.
Please contact Jon Wanzer our Emergency Coordinator for information on how we may be of service to your community events or for information on becoming an amateur radio operator (ham radio) and how to get involved in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service.
A small community church with a big heart for Jesus! Join us for worship on Sundays at 9:30am, and Bible Study on Wednesday nights (6:00 Potluck & 6:30 Study) from Sept. – May.
Migrant, Seasonal, and Early Head Start (MSHS/EHS)
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start and Early Head Start provide comprehensive child development services to economically disadvantaged children and families. Migrant and Seasonal Head Start are for children of migrant and seasonal farm workers. This program cares for children while parents are working in the fields, and helps preschoolers develop the language, reading and math skills they need to be successful in school. Early Head Start provides services to pregnant woman, infants and toddlers up to age 3. Early Head Start cares for infants and toddlers to make sure that young children grow up to be healthy and happy. These programs also work with parents by providing training, education, and leadership opportunities.
Sunday school begins at 9am. Church service begins at 10:10am
