Basin Fertilizer’s roots go back to the fall of 1975 when Bob Gasser and Chris Moudry left Valley Nitrogen Producers to open the new business. Jim Shuck also joined as a partner after spending twenty years with Walker Ag in Merrill. With youthful exuberance and a firm desire to provide excellent service to the Basin farm community—Shuck, Gasser, and Moudry opened for business with two employees, a pull sprayer, and four anhydrous ammonia applicators on one acre of land purchased from Chevron Oil.

We are an agricultural business established in 1965, based on the California – Oregon border. We cater
to the needs of our growers by providing a full line of agricultural chemicals and fertilizers with the capability of applying all of our products by air or ground, depending on the grower’s preference.

Our company philosophy is providing excellent service to our growers, and to stay informed of the latest developments and technological advances in pest management and implement techniques, including Integrated Pest Management, to each field situation.
